Gnarus Advisors Announces Board of Directors Election

Gnarus Advisors, a consulting firm which combines economic, scientific, engineering, and regulatory expertise to provide clients with multidimensional support on a wide range of challenges affecting their financial performance, risk management goals, and dispute resolution efforts, announced today the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors.  Gnarus’ Board of Directors is responsible for the overall direction and strategy of the company consistent with our team’s vision and values.

When Gnarus re-launched in 2021, our leadership group committed to enshrine our core values into our corporate DNA. Accordingly, the re-launched Gnarus is an employee-owned and employee-managed organization focused on maintaining our long-standing and strong corporate culture. In keeping with that commitment, Gnarus’ corporate governance includes a mandate for employee representation on our Board. Gnarus Principals recently elected two of their peers – Marcia E. Williams and Brian Henthorn – to the Gnarus Board of Directors.

Marcia E. Williams is an expert on solid and hazardous waste. At Gnarus, Ms. Williams’ practice focuses on regulatory expert and litigation support, environmental performance assessment and improvement, strategic environmental counseling and policy support and environmental business risk/opportunity evaluation and mitigation. Ms. Williams held senior management positions in multiple offices of the Environmental Protection Agency during her 18 years with the agency. Her work in the private sector has included top-level positions at several distinguished firms. She is based in Los Angeles.

Brian Henthorn specializes in the estimation of environmental liabilities, the evaluation of cost recovery issues under the National Contingency Plan and state equivalents, the allocation of costs at hazardous waste sites, and related issues faced by parties at Superfund sites. His experience includes working on two of the largest environmental litigation matters in U.S. history, and his clients span a wide range of industries including petrochemical, mining, energy, and manufacturing. He is based in Boston.

Gnarus President Dr. Jessica B Horewitz said “I am thrilled to have Marcia and Brian join our inaugural Board of Directors. Their experience and insight will be invaluable as we envision and shape our future.”
