Gnarus’ association management practice provides management services for small trade associations or other nonprofits.
Gnarus professionals and support staff serve as the association’s staff, working closely with the organization’s board of directors and membership to carry out the organization’s administrative and programmatic activities and to contract for outside services as appropriate. Gnarus can provide these services at a lower cost than the organization would pay on a stand-alone basis, allowing the organization to focus on its primary mission.
For example, for NAPTP, a small trade association of business entities in the energy industry, a Gnarus professional serves as Executive Director and, with the assistance of Gnarus administrative staff, coordinates and contributes to federal and state government affairs activities carried out by separately retained lobbyists, keeps members up to date on federal and state developments affecting them, organizes and runs three annual conferences with the assistance of an in-house event planner, maintains a website, serves as the association’s spokesperson to the media and at conferences and investor events, administers the association’s finances, and generally serves as a resource to the association membership, the media, and the public.
